Eating less, spacing out meals, or even fasting regularly… We know the formidable effectiveness of these practices for weight loss. But another idea has spread widely in recent years, suggesting that such dietary habits could be the key to longevity. This is at least suggested by the results of numerous research studies focusing on the impact of calorie restriction on the lifespan of various animal species, from mice to fruit flies. But are these results applicable to humans and, more importantly, are we truly talking about a potential remedy for the struggles of aging?
