Winner of the faculty of medicine in Paris, sports doctor and certified in obesity and metabolic diseases, Dr. Souveton spent three years as a doctor at the Matignon hotel in Paris, responsible for the official trips of the Prime Minister. He was the doctor for the French rowing and kung-fu teams. A former athlete and coach, he worked in Germany for the company Metabolic Balance, which develops personalized nutrition programs and advises many athletes.
LE FIGARO – From what level of sports intensity should one adapt their diet?
Dr. Didier SOUVETON – From 2 or 3 sessions of at least one hour of training per session, one may need an adapted diet. It all depends on the nature of the activity and its intensity, but moderate-paced running sessions for an hour three times a week, for example, already deserve adaptation.
